After Hour Care:

What do I do when I get sick?

Call our office and we will assess your concern and arrange to have you examined and treated in the best way. If you call after hours, the answering service will locate your doctor.

What if I get sick when you’re closed? How can I reach you?

Call us just as you would if the office were open. Your call will be taken by our answering service. Either your doctor or one of the partners will call you back to discuss the nature and urgency of your problem. Please deactivate your call blocking feature or the doctor may not be able to call you back.

How long should I wait for a call back?

One hour for a routine call. But for emergency situations such as chest pain, brisk bleeding, shortness of breath, severe pain, or an allergic reaction, just call 911 so as not to lose valuable time. After speaking with you or a family member, your doctor will assess whether to see you in the office, send you to the hospital, or have you access an Urgent Care or Walk-in Center.

Your physician will be able to communicate with the treating doctor before and/or after your visit, smoothing the way for good follow-up care. Please see a below for a list of medical centers that have been determined by our doctors to be high quality medical facilities. We have partnered with them, and they are available to serve as partners in your care.

What do I do if I go to one of these Urgent Care/Walk-in centers?

Tell the receptionist and physician that you are our patient. Tell them that you expect the center to send you doctor a faxed reports or your tests, diagnosis and treatment so we can follow up.

If you are directed by the office or the on call physician to go to the walk-in, please use one of our preferred walk-in clinics. Click here for list.
