Kathy has been a nurse for over 38 years and practiced in a variety of settings including critical care, ER and ICU/CCU, and Home Care. She graduated from CCRI and Salve Regina University and has a BSN in nursing. Kathy is a certified diabetes educator through the National Board of Diabetes Educators and also certified in RI by the Department of Health as a certified diabetes outpatient and cardiovascular disease educator. Kathy has acted as a clinical supervisor in the home care setting and as Director of Nursing at Blackstone Valley Community Health Care. Kathy is also certified as a Patient Centered Medical Home Content Expert and has led Family Health and Sports Medicine and Blackstone Valley Community Health Care successfully to Level 3 Recognition as a PCMH with the 2011 standards.
In her spare time Kathy enjoy spending time with her 3 grandchildren, twins, Charlee and Mia, and their sister Hadley. Kathy also enjoys traveling with her husband Jack as well as reading, gardening, and knitting.
